Psychotherapy in central London

Currently I am not taking on new patients as I am on a maternity break. I will update this as and when I return to work. Thank you.

Hello, my name is Jennifer, thank you for visiting my website.

I hope that by having a look around this site you will be able to get a good sense of me and the therapy services I offer. I am a fully qualified, experienced and BACP registered counsellor and psychosexual therapist working in central/North London. My practice is based in Islington, close to the city and North London areas.
I am an Integrative counsellor, which means that I have trained in different approaches to therapy. This allows me to work in different ways, depending on the unique situation that each person brings. I am also trained in Integrative Psychosexual Therapy - please see the 'Psychosexual' page for more information on this.

I work with individuals, and with couples on a large range of issues.

How can I help you?

I can offer a supportive, open and encouraging space for you to explore your feelings.

A common thread in my work is helping people to realise their potential, whether on a personal level or in a work/career capacity. It can sometimes be the case that we feel held back by other people in our lives, by society as a whole or by our own negative beliefs about ourselves. By offering a non-judgemental space I hope to empower you to make decisions on how you live a life that feels 'right' for you.

Some of the areas I work in

• Low self esteem/value/worth
• Relationship dynamics - couples and individuals
• Anxiety
• Existential counselling - Purpose of life/existance - concerns such as meaning/responsibility/death/choice
• Feelings of hopelessness, depression, emptiness
• Career/work issues
• Family relationship dynamics
• Psychosexual work - Sexuality/sexual concerns/safe sex/educational/sexual self esteem
• Abuse
• Loss/bereavement

Psychosexual Therapy

I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychosexual therapist. I gained my diploma at 'The centre for Psychosexual Health'

Sexual issues are unique and therefore vast, I have been trained to work with all sexual issues.

I'm particularly passionate about working with shame, compulsive behaviours, desire, sexuality and gender, sexual self-esteem and women’s sexual health (including PMS/PMDD). My own interests, including complimentary therapies (such as reflexology and aromatherapy), yoga and meditation, art and music, all inform my therapeutic work.

If you would like to know more about my training and experience as a counsellor please Click here

I work in central London on City road, Islington - to see a map please Click here
The Islington counselling practice is a short walk from Angel and Highbury and Islington tube stations. It is also within walking distance or a short bus ride away from the Shoreditch and Clerkenwell areas, as well as the City of London.
